Founded in 1872, at la Terrassière, in the central area of Geneva city, near the Lake Leman, Le Centre offers the public a modern theatre room with 314 seats, also equipped as cinema and conference room with two simultaneous interpretation booths.
The venue includes a Foyer conditioned to host paintings and photographs exhibitions, as well as a number of meeting rooms for 10 to 100 participants.
The Centre hosts a vast Café-Restaurant with a capacity of 180 for banquets and receptions. It also offers private dinner areas such as a winter Rotonde and a summer Terrasse.
For the past 138 years, Le Centre de l'Esperance is a base for several clubs (Ski-Club, Table-Tennis Club, Camera-Club, Comedy-Club) as branches of the "Esperance Circle" created in 1872.
